New URL field must contain destination URL, where visitor will be redirected after visiting the Old URL. You can use 3 types of redirect for the New URL:
- absolute path
- relative path, based on the domain name
- relative path, based on the current location of the siten.
"Absolute path" means the use of complete page URL (example: http://www.example.com/page-2).
Old URL: /page-1
New URL: http://www.example.com/page-2
"Relative path, based on the domain name".You can redirect visitor relatively to the domain name by specifying page’s name with / sign (example: /page-2). If your domain name is www.example.com and New URL is /page-2 - visitor will be redirected to the http://www.example.com/page-2. If your site is located in the subfolder (example: http://www.example.com/subfolder/page-2) - system will still redirect visitor according to the related domain name http://www.example.com/page-2.
Old URL: /page-1
New URL: /page-2
"Relative path, based on the current location of the site". You can redirect visitor relatively to the current location of your site specifying page’s name without / sign (example: page-2). If your domain name is http://www.example.com/subfolder (where “subfolder” is your site’s folder) and New URL is page-2 - visitor will be redirected to the http://www.example.com/subfolder/page-2. System uses path from Settings - Website Address field.
Old URL: /page-1
New URL: page-2

To do this you need to specify * sign after /calendar-for-groups/ within the Old URL field. All links, which contain /calendar-for-groups/, will automatically redirect users to the /events page.
Old URL: /calendar-for-groups/*
New URL: /events
"Disable WildCard". System processes asterisk * in URL as WildCard expression by default. If disabled, it will consider asterisk as part of the URL address.
As example, specifying http://example.com/profile/Nice* in the New URL field will lead to the page /Nice*
